Willie Green Remix Contest
What’s crackin’ innanets? Far be it for me to do shit like other people, I’m gonna put the flip on the Remix Contest. I’ve picked two tracks from “…Of Heroes and Villains” and I’m looking for MC’s to remix them - meaning download them, write a couple ill verses and a hook, and record them.
The panel of judges will consist of myself and the good folks at Backwoodz Studioz. The winner will receive not only the adoration and praise of the innanets, but also a spot on the upcoming Backwoodz Studioz Presents mixtape. That mixtape will feature Super Chron Flight Brothers, Cannibal Ox, and many more, so you know that’s a good look.
The Rules:
- You must pick from either “Arrival” or “First Encounters.” Any other submissions will not be considered
- Write dope rhymes, I don’t like shitty rapping
- Submissions must be MP3 encoded at 320kbps. I don’t like shitty MP3’s either
- Please have your tracks mixed. I don’t want to have to imagine what it would sound like if it was a real song. It should be a real song
- All submissions should be received by Sept. 25th. 2009. I know some folks take a long time writing. Don’t.

Below are extended instrumentals for both “First Encounters” and “Arrival.” You don’t have to rap over He-Man and Greenback, but if you want to for some reason, I suppose you can use the album tracks.
